MISSION

European Thyroid Association – Cancer Research Network (ETA-CRN) is devoted to those ETA members whose primary focus is molecular biology and or clinics of thyroid cancer.
ETA-CRN is a platform of cooperation of ETA members with those researchers and clinicians who focus also on thyroid cancer, but their interest in other thyroid fields is not intensive enough to become ETA member.

INTEREST

ETA-CRN gives a special focus to advances in molecular biology of thyroid cancer gained by Chernobyl catastrophe driven research.

ETA-CRN Meeting 2011

This year ETA-CRN is a joint session of ETA-CRN and European Society of Endocrine Surgeons held as Satellite Symposium of 35th ETA Annual Meeting, on Saturday morning, September 10th in Kraków, Poland. Our common intention is to focus on Challenging questions at the borderline of thyroid cancer surgery. The subjects will cover the questions if total thyroidectomy for benign thyroid disease improve for incidentally diagnosed thyroid cancer, what to do when a total thyroidectomy has not been performed at initial surgery and weather it is time to base therapeutic decisions on the BRAF status of thyroid tumors.

We hope this will be a fruitful event to all of us.

Ulla Feldt-Rasmussen (ETA-CRN President)
Barbara Jarzab (ETA-CRN Secretary)
